  • MOUNT THE CABINET SO THAT THE TOP EDGE IS NO HIGHER THAN 48” FROM THE FLOOR TO ENSURE THAT THE EXTINGUISHER COMPLIES WITH ADA AND OTHER STANDARDS FOR INSTALLATION
  • THE OPENING MUST BE AT LEAST 1” AWAY FROM THE WALL STUDS ON BOTH SIDES.
  • THE BOTTOM OF THE CABINET MUST REST ON THE DRYWALL.
  • DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.
  • THE MOUNTING BRACKET THAT ACCOMPANIES THE EXTINGUISHER IS NOT TO BE USED WITH THE EASY COMPLY CABINET.
  1. Determine the desired location to install your cabinet.
  2. Using a stud finder or similar, identify the location of the wall studs and any other objects that may be contained within the wall behind the desired location.
  3. Affix this template on the surface of the wall using a level to ensure that the cabinet will be straight.
  4. Trace the outside edges and remove the template.
  5. Using a drywall knife, cut along the outline to create an opening in the wall.
  6. Carefully remove and discard the cutout drywall section.
  7. Insert the Easy Comply Cabinet into the opening, ensuring that the swing arms are in the closed position (as seen here).
  8. Confirm the bottom of the cabinet tub is resting on the drywall to ensure that it is firmly supported by the wall.
  9. Using a screwdriver, turn each of the 4 screws until they are tight.
  10. Place the extinguisher inside the cabinet with the bottom of the extinguisher resting on the bottom of the cabinet tub.
  11. Secure the extinguisher with the included Velcro strap. For 5 lb. extinguishers, you may need to insert the strap through the second set of openings.
